This weekend was amazing! I’m so glad I got to see my friends and hang out with them in the city (which is apparently what people call SF now.) (Or was that what it was always called?) (San Fran is so cool, it has so many nicknames!)
And I visited the most amazing vintage store! They had so many wonderful clothes; I had so much fun!
And I’ve been raving about the clothes all week(end) so here they are:
These are the two that I purchased
1.) The perfect little black dress. This is the “Audrey” dress. I can wear it until I die and I’ll still look chic and amazing in it-
This photo isn’t as flattering but you get the gist of it. It’s from the 1950’s and it has the most amazing details like slits in the sleeves and the buttons and the super cute bow! It also makes my waist look teeny-tiny and hits at about knee level so it has the perfect 1950’s look!
This Dress, Ladies and Gentlemen, is my favorite. It’s a really pretty shimmery purple (it looks kind of like Chanel’s Paradoxal) It’s also a 1950’s dress and has a super cute bow in the back! I just love the wrappy thing (I don’t know what it’s called) but I just think it adds so much to the dress!
Two other dresses which were superb (but alas, I didn’t buy):
1.) This 60’s mod dress (it’s actually a dress with a jacket on top of it) is so Beatles-era I could hardly stand it. It looks like I borrowed it from a movie set! Can’t you just see it with cat-eye sunglasses, blue teal tights and mary jane pumps? I can!
The last one is a incredible red 1930’s dress. It looks like something Vivian Leigh would wear. The color is just so pretty and it makes me feel like I’m back in Hollywood’s golden era!
Anyaways, I can’t wait to go back home next weekend and see my friends there! Also, can anybody tell that I’ve been following NYFW (New York Fashion Week?)
(like it wasn’t apparent at all from how I wrote this post)
Apparently the new thing this for Fall/Winter 2012 is being fierce. Such a change from the demure, ladylike trends of recent seasons! I’m not sure if I like it or not though…
